Roman Lob to perform “Standing Still” for Germany
After Lena’s successful participations in 2010 and 2011, 1st place and 10th place, respectively, German broadcaster NDR opted once again for the casting format to find the country’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. Starting January 12, ten talents competed for the ticket to Baku. 21-year-old Roman Lob was the hot favourite early on, and triumphed in the Final. The televoters chose the song Standing Still as Germany’s entry 2012. The song was composed & written by Wayne Hector, Jamie Cullum and Steve Robson.
Standing Still is Germany’s 57th entry to the Eurovision Song Contest and will be performed in the grand final on 26th May, at starting position #20.

About Roman Lob
Roman Lob became famous only months ago, when he won the German talent show Unser Star Für Baku. However, music has always played a great role in his life.
Roman Lob was born in Dusseldorf on July 2, 1990. Having won the German casting show “Unser Star für Baku“ he is going to represent Germany in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. Music has played an important role in Roman’s life from the very beginning, since his grand-father used to play the organ at the local church. He also sang at the choir of his kindergarten. Later on, Roman Lob learned to play the piano.
According to him, he’s been making music since the age of eight. Since 2005, Roman has been a member of several bands playing the drums or singing the lead vocals. In Baku, Roman Lob will perform the song Standing Still composed by Jamie Cullum, Steve Robson and Wayne Hector.
