It was 10 years ago, when Loreen’s Euphoria won the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, and secured Sweden its fifth win. Since then the song has won the ‘ESC Top 250’ voting year after year, celebrating its tenth ‘anniversary’ in this latest edition of the annual poll of Eurovision fans’ favourite songs. Italy’s 2021 entry Zitti E Buoni, performed by Måneskin, made it to number two, while Go_A’s Ukraine entry Shum finished in third place.

Apart from Euphoria and Zitti E Buoni, surprisingly only one more Eurovision winning song has reached the Top 10: Arcade, the 2019 entry from The Netherlands, performed by Duncan Laurence, ranks at #4. Five more winnings songs made the Top 20: 1944 (Jamala, Ukraine 2016), Fairytale (Alexander Rybak, Norway 2009), Heroes (Måns Zelmerlöw, Sweden 2015), Nocturne (Secret Garden, Norway 1995) and Waterloo (ABBA, Sweden 1974).

The biggest surprise is probably the climb of Beth’s Dime, the 2003 Eurovision entry for Spain. It finished at #9 in this edition, climbing from #50 in the former edition and #107 the year before. It’s the first time since 2012 that Pastora Soler and Quédate Conmigo – at #17 now – does not finish as the most popular Spanish Eurovision entry.
