ESC stars met in Setúbal, Portugal, for Eurovision Live Concert 2012

For the fourth time since 2009, the annual Eurovision Live Concert took place recently in Setúbal, Portugal. Organized  by OGAE Portugal, in cooperation with the local city council and  a number of sponsors, the open air concert was held on 8 September at the José Afonso Auditorium, close to Setúbal beach. Among the artists who performed on stage were acts like Katrina Leskanich, Sirusho, Sinplus, Niamh Kavanagh, Natalia Barbu, Ott Lepland, Litesound, plus former Portuguese ESC contestants Simone de Oliveira and Filipa Sousa, and many more.

We met some of them for exclusive interviews…

Here is a selection of our exclusive interviews with the artists. Katrina Leskanich, winner of the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest as the lead singer of Katrina & The Waves with Love Shine A Light, speaks about her experience with the Contest and explains why she feels former Oasis member Noel Gallagher should have a go at representing the United Kingdom in Eurovision…

 

Niamh Kavanagh, who represented Ireland on two occasions, 1993 with In Your Eyes and in 2010 with It’s For You, gives her view on two-times contenders Jedward, and talks about her Irish Eurovision Winners tour…

 

Sinplus, who represented Switzerland at this year’s Contest in Baku with the song Unreakable, speak about their Eurovision adventure, an upcoming club tour, and their work on a new album…
