We are happy to announce the results of this year’s ESC Radio Awards poll, as voted from June 8 to 16 by the listeners, Eurovision fans and followers worldwide. We have a first-time situation since the Awards started in 2006: The ‘Best Song’ category resulted in a tie on top, with Rim Tim Tagi Dim (Baby Lasagna, Croatia) and The Code (Nemo, Switzerland) both receiving 12.6% of the vote! The entry from The Netherlands, Europapa – disqualified before the tv final due to a backstage incident between its entrant Joost Klein and a member of the production team – finished in third place in this voting with 9.77%. In fourth place we have Mon Amour (Slimane, France) and Doomsday Blue (Bambie Thug, Ireland) came fifth.
The best result for a song that did not even qualify for the tv final on 11th May is the twelfth place for Belgium’s entry Before The Party’s Over performed by Mustii. And the song Sand, performed by Saba for Denmark in the second semi-final finished 21st here.
In the ‘Best Solo Artist’ category, Switzerland’s Nemo came out on top with 15.4% of the vote, followed by Baby Lasagna in second place (13.2%) and Joost in third place (10.9%) Ireland’s Bambie Thug came fourth and Slimane from France fifth.
Ukraine’s Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil win the ‘Best Group’ award with 26.5% of the vote. 5miinust & Puuluup from Estonia finished as runner-up (16.5%) and Gate from Norway follows in third place (15.2%).
For Switzerland it’s already the fourth time winning in the ESC Radio Awards poll. In 2019 Luca Hänni won the Best Male Artist award, in 2020 Gjon’s Tears won Best Male Artist and in 2021 Gjon’s Tears was awarded both Best Song and Best Male Artist.
Congratulations to all the winners! We will get in touch with them to hand over the trophies as soon as possible. For the complete rankings of the 2024 ESC Radio Awards, see below please.
