Austria wins Eurovision Song Contest 2025

Wasted Love, performed by 24-year-old countertenor JJ for Austria, is the winning song of the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, held at Basel, Switzerland, last night. As usual, the results of the final were determined by televoting and jury voting in all thirty-seven participating countries, plus a Rest of the World aggregate public vote. Austria finished first in the jury voting, ahead of Switzerland (Zoë Më Voyage) and France (Louane Maman), and placed fourth in the televoting which was won by Israel (Yuval Raphael New Day Will Rise), ahead of Estonia (Tommy Cash Espresso Macchiato) and Sweden (KAJ Bara Bada Bastu).

It’s the third victory for Austria in the history of the Contest. In 1966 Udo Jürgens won with the song Merci Chérie, and in 2014 Conchita Wurst won the competition with the song Rise Like A Phoenix. Check out the complete ranking of the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest and watch the Top 3 performances below. Congratulations JJ, congratulations Austria!
