ESC Radio Awards 2013 – The Winners
The poll for the 2013 ESC Radio Awards is decided. As usual, votes came in not only from the countries that participated in the contest, but from the whole of Europe and other parts of the world like North and South America and Australia. Thanks a lot to everyone who voted! And here are the winners:
Once again we have one winner who picks up the trophy in two categories: Bonnie Tyler, the Welsh singer who represented the United Kingdom in Malmö with the song Believe In Me, written by Desmond Child, Lauren Christy and Christopher Braide, wins the awards for Best Song and Best Female Artist with 12.6% and 16.8% of the vote, respectively. Congratulations, Bonnie Tyler!
Marco Mengoni, Italy’s representative at this year’s ESC with the song L’Essenziale, came out the winner as Best Male Artist 2013. In the Best Group category it’s a clear win for Koza Mostra feat. Agathonas Iakovidis who represented Greece in Malmö (Alcohol Is Free).

ESC Radio Awards 2013 – vote for your favourites, June 10-16!

It’s ESC Radio Awards time again! The 39 participants of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, held from 14-18 May in Malmö, Sweden, will compete once again, and this time the international listeners have their say, not only viewers and juries from the 39 participating countries. For one week, June 10-16, you’ll be able to vote for your favourites from the Contest in four categories: Best Song, Best Female Artist, Best Male Artist, and Best Group 2013.
The ESC Radio Awards are held for the seventh time this year. Past winners include, among others, Alexander Rybak (Norway), Anna Vissi (Greece), Loreen (Sweden), Dima Bilan (Russia), Eric Saade (Sweden) – all five of them in two categories -, Euroband, Yohanna (Iceland), Ani Lorak (Ukraine), Lena (Germany), Ott Lepland (Estonia), and Magdi Rúzsa (Hungary).

Denmark wins the Eurovision Song Contest 2013
Congratulations to Emmelie de Forest! With the song Only Teardrops, written by Lise Cabble, Julia Fabrin Jakobsen and Thomas Stengaard, the 20-year old singer from Denmark won the 58th Eurovision Song Contest, held last night at Malmö Arena, Sweden. The song collected 281 points, including eight times the maximum score of 12 points.
Azerbaijan’s Farid Mammadov came second with Hold Me and 234 points, followed by Ukraine’s entry Gravity, performed by Zlata Ognevich (214 pts).
The fourth place went to Norway, represented by Margaret Berger and I Feed You My Love (191 pts) while Russia’s Dina Garipova came 5th with her song What If (174 pts).

Eurovision Dance Night on ESC Radio – starting at 00:30 CET
For all the ESC fans who want to party after tonight’s grand final of Eurovision 2013 we have a special program when the live show in Malmö will be over: thirty minutes after midnight, at around 00:30 CET, ESC Radio will broadcast a special “Eurovision Dance Mix” – 4 hours packed with many popular Eurovision songs, put together and mixed by DJ Marcus MC27. So don’t miss to tune in and party with ESC Radio!
