Denmark will be represented in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest by the duo Chanée & N’evergreen. Their song “In A Moment Like This“ was written by Thomas G:son, Henrik Sethsson & Erik Bernholm. It’s Denmark’s 39th Eurovision entry, and it will be performed in the 2nd Semi-Final on 27th May, at spot #4.

Christina Chanée had already won several talent competitions at the age of 17. Even though she has also sung jazz, pop music has always been the pivotal point in her musical life. In 2003 she won the soundtrack competition for the Danish movie Anja Efter Viktor. The year after she became a singer in the band Nubian Fräuleins in the entertainment program on Danish TV, Endelig Fredag. During that time ,she met Kid Creole, who later offered her the leading role in the production of Martin Gaye – The Musical. Later she joined Kid Creole and the Coconuts with whom she has since toured.
Thomas N’evergreen – real name Thomas Christiansen – formed his first band when he was in the sixth grade and saw his first success with the song Every Time I See Your Smile which was high on the playlist of Russian MTV. It was also playstred on the radio channel Europa Plus with 80 million listeners, and in the Ukraine the single topped the charts. The Russian connection was made, and he was invited to Russia to give concerts. This sparked off his big breakthrough. Since 2003 he has been living in Moscow where he continued his success with the song Since You’ve Been Gone, which became a megahit in Russia and the former Soviet republics. The record with the same title sold more than 250.000 copies. Since then he has been giving about 60 concerts a year – several of them in front of 40.000 people.
The song was written by Thomas G:son, Henrik Sethsson & Erik Bernholm. Especially Thomas G:son is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest having competed for his native Sweden twice, but also for Spain and Norway.
