About Kati Wolf

As a seven year old girl, she sang the title track of the popular Hungarian cartoon Vuk – and the whole country fell in love with her. Besides singing she also took piano and jazz dance classes and never stopped making music.

After her graduation as solfege teacher – chorus master at the Hungarian Music Academy, she worked with numerous bands in different genres but her big breakthrough came in 2010 as a finalist of the Hungarian version of the talent show called X-Factor. Kati, who is now a proud mother of two little children, proved that she can turn to a glorious diva on stage anytime. Asked about her idols, she names Whitney Houston and Freddie Mercury, and her big dream is to sing a duet with Michael Bublé one day.

At the beginning of this year, Kati started working on her solo album. Her first single Szerelem, Miért Múlsz? became a big success immediately. The song is a composition of Viktor Rakonczai and Gergő Rácz, two former members of the boygroup V.I.P. who represented Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997 in Dublin.

Kati Wolf will represent Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the English version of the song, What About My Dreams?.

  1. Great Song, really, from Hungary, a strong contender for win, but we’ll see on may 14th! Of course she must go to final, and I’m sure that this will not repeat the history of Kate Ryan 2006, and Evridiki 2007, great songs that haven’t succeed to reach the Finals…

And yes, Kati reminds me a bit of Gina G and UK 1996!

Anyway, Good luck, Bonne chance et Bon courage la Hongrie!

  2. She was the best!!!

    BRAVO HUNGARY!
