Last week, on occasion of the German national final for Eurovision Malmö 2013, we had the opportunity to meet up with the 2012 Contest winner Loreen from Sweden to hand over the ESC Radio Award trophies. In the listeners’ poll, held last June after the Contest in Baku, Sweden’s Eurovision winner won the trophies in the categories Best Song and Best Female Artist. Loreen is the sixth Eurovision artist to win the trophy in two categories, following Anna Vissi (2006), D’Nash (2007). Dima Bilan (2008), Alexander Rybak (2009), and Eric Saade (2011). At the German national final held on February 14th at the TUI Arena in Hannover, Loreen opened the show with her ESC winning song “Euphoria” and took the stage once again as interval act performing her last European single “My Heart Is Refusing Me”, taken from her debut album “Heal”.
