Sweden’s 2012 winner Loreen extends her reign at the top of the ‚Eurovision Top 250‘ into an eighth year. Last night, during the last 30 minutes of 2019, the ranking was complete, and Euphoria finished on top once again, congratulations! Runner-up this year is Arcade, Duncan Laurence’s 2019 winning song from The Netherlands, followed by Fuego, performed by Eleni Foureira for Cyprus at the 2018 Contest.
Three songs from the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest stormed right into the Top 10. Along with the winning song Arcade, Mahmood’s Soldi (Italy) came fourth, and KeiiNO’s Spirit In The Sky (Norway) finished in fifth place.
As in former editions of the ‘Eurovision Top 250’, songs from recent years dominate the voting. ESC classics that fared very well are for example Nocturne (Secret Garden, Norway 1995) at #10, Waterloo, ABBA’s 1974 winning song at #20, Dinle (Sebnem Paker, Turkey 1997), Rapsodia (Mia Martini, Italy 1992), Vuelve Conmigo (Anabel Conde, Spain 1995), Tu Te Reconnaîtras (Anne-Marie David, Luxembourg 1973), and Love Shine A Light (Katrina & The Waves, United Kingdom 1997)
