After a full week of voting, we are happy to announce the winners in this year’s ESC Radio Awards poll, as voted by the listeners, Eurovision fans and followers worldwide.
Switzerland scores a double victory, with Tout l’Univers winning the Best Song category with 18.5% and Gjon’s Tears winning Best Male Artist with a landslide vote of 41.1%. In the latter category, Gjon’s Tears took the win for the second year running and Switzerland for the third year running (in 2019 Luca Hänni won Best Male Artist). It never happened before in the ESC Radio Awards that a country won a category for two years running, let alone for three. Congratulations to Gjon’s Tears and the writers of the song!
Italy’s Eurovision winners Måneskin came second in Best Song with Zitti E Buoni and scored a solid win in the hotly contested Best Group category with 25.4% of the vote, ahead of Go_A from Ukraine (17.2%) and Lithuania’s three-piece band THE ROOP (16.8%).
Norway’s entry Fallen Angel placed third in Best Song, while TIX finished second in Best Male Artist (19.4%), followed by Sweden’s Tusse in third place (5.7%)
The Best Female Artist category saw a neck-and-neck race between Barbara Pravi from France and Malta’s Destiny, with a slight advantage on the home stretch for the latter, 19.5 vs. 19.1%, respectively. Last year’s Award winner VICTORIA from Bulgaria came third (13.9%).
Congratulations to all the winners! We will get in touch with them to hand over the trophies as soon as possible. For the complete rankings of the 2021 ESC Radio Awards, see below please
