BIOGRAPHY

Feminnem was founded in 2004 at the initiative of a great Croatian composer Đorđe Novković, when, after the Croatian Idol TV show ended, its three finalists decided to form a girl band and thus become professional musicians. A year later, having won at the Eurosong representative competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the band performed at the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev with the song Call Me (Zovi). Their appearance in the finals and the high 13th place, have won them international acclaim.

Their first studio album, Feminnem Show, was named after a very popular TV show at the BHT1 channel of the national television of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which the girls hosted. Having released a number of hits, Feminnem won the status of the first girl band in the region. Pamela Ramljak and Neda Parmać have had to change the third member two times since the founding of the band, but since the arrival of Nika Antolos, they are certain that this will be the permanent and final Feminnem.

Their new album, named after the Eurovision song Everything is easy, was made in collaboration with author and producer Branimir Mihaljević, who deserves credit for music and production of their hits in the last few years, while almost all the lyrics were written by the members of the band itself. Apart from Branimir, they collaborated on the new album with the producer Luiz Rodriguez (Modern Talking) for the duet with the Spanish teen star Alex Manga, as well as with Freddie J. Cooper (Boyz II Men). One of the songs from the album was reinterpreted by the Bulgarian star Preslava.

Feminnem’s many appearances abroad, among which the one on Malta with the legendary BoneyM and Smokey, witness of their international appeal. At this year’s Croatian contest for the Eurosong, DORA 2010, they secured their trip to Oslo by a maximum of votes both by jury and the audience.
