About Anna Bergendahl

The touching voice of artists like Tracy Chapman, the beauty of Kate Winslet and the star quality of Madonna and Duffy, all presented in the body of a 18-year-old forthcoming megastar! Her mesmerizing, warm and embracive voice with the maturity and confidence of a soul diva combined with the dexterity of an adorable teenage pop princess makes her truly unique.

Anna Bergendahl, our new independent pop princess, was born and raised in Nyköping, a small town not far from Stockholm. Her relatives are partly of Irish extraction. Her parents early recognized Anna’s love for music and bought her first guitar when she was only eight. She started to write her first songs at the age of ten and her musicality was evident! A couple of years later the buzz about this amazing talent was just about to get started.

She was one of the competitors in the Swedish TV-show “Super troupers” performing her most personal version of Wild Cherry’s old classic hit “Play that funky music”. The audience was totally blown away by her voice – they just couldn’t believe it came from a twelve year old!

In 2008 she auditioned for the Swedish TV-show “Idol” performing the Bonnie Raitt song “Have a heart”. The jury including Anders Bagge and Andreas Carlsson just couldn’t stop honouring her!  “This is the best I’ve heard since I worked with Celine Dion”, Anders cried out! She was the most downloaded artist of that season.

After “Idol” Anna was of course contacted by a number of record companies. Everyone wanted to sign her!  However it was the intimate and professional feeling Lionheart International gave her that made her make her decision to sign both a record, publishing and management deal with them.

Saturday March 13th, in front of nearly 4 million viewers, the Swedish people voted Anna to be the one representing Sweden in the ESC 2010 in Oslo, a landslide victory! The journey has just started! She was competing together with some of Sweden’s biggest and most well known artists and Anna ended up as the winner!

Everywhere you go people are talking about Anna and every newspaper/internet you read is about Anna.
