Eldrine to represent Georgia with “One More Day”

In Georgia’s national final for Eurovision 2011, seven acts competed for the ticket to Düsseldorf. The band Eldrine came out the winner with the song One More Day, written by DJ BE$$, with lyrics by DJ Rock and Mikheil Chelidze.

“One More Day” is Georgia’s fourth entry to the Eurovision Song Contest and it will be performed in the 1st semi-final on 10th May, at starting position #9.

ABOUT ELDRINE

Born in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia on 08.01.1990, Sophio Toroshelidze – the lead vocalist of Eldrine – studied at the Music College for Remarkable Students established under the umbrella of the State Conservatory of Tbilisi, where she continued her education after finishing the college at the Department of Polyphonic Singing and Conducting. In 2006 Sophio Toroshelidze composed the song Surprised Again, that won the title of the Best Song of the Year. In 2009 she passed into the final of the popular Georgian vocal competition – Stars’ Academy. The same year she started up teaching children and was a selected vocal coach for participants of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009. In 2010 she appeared as a backing vocal in the Eurovision Song Contest. She is also a participant in the various television shows on the leading TV channels of Georgia.

4 of the other members of Eldrine – Mikheil Chelidze (MIKEN) – Guitar, Irakli Bibilashvili (BIBO) – Bass Guitar, David Changoshvili (Chango) – Drummer and Beso Tsikhelashvili (Dj BE$$) formed a band named BIOS in 2007 but after 3 years, they decided to form their current band. Tamar Shekiladze – Keyboard joined them in 2010 and together, they are this year’s Georgian representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest.
