Cyprus is one of the countries that haven’t won the Eurovision Song Contest yet. The best result to date was a fifth place they achieved on three occasions: in 1982 with Anna Vissi (Mono I Agapi), 1997 with Hara & Andreas Constantinou (Mana Mou), and 2004 with Lisa Andreas (Stronger Every Minute). For the 58th Contest in Malmö, Sweden, the Cypriot representative, Despina Olympiou, and the song An Me Thimase (If you remember me), were chosen internally by broadcaster CyBC. The music of the song was written by Andreas Giorgalllis while the lyrics are credited to Zenon Zintillis.
An Me Thimase is Cyprus’ 31st entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. The country will participate in the first semi-final on 14 May at starting position #14.
