Across Europe the national selection procedures for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest are well underway. Switzerland started the season in October, meanwhile Ukraine, Albania and Belarus held their national finals, and many other countries are busy preparing for the big event to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in May.

As usual at this time of year, we put a focus on the music from these national selections, playing many songs that didn’t qualify for the Contest, but still deserve another listen, and songs still waiting in the starting blocks, ready to compete. Quite many of them are getting a lot of airplay in their home countries, some become chart hits.

While the national selections continue, our playlist will be regularly updated. At the same time we will continue to offer you popular Eurovision songs and hits from recent years, ESC classics and remixes.
