The French choice for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest is Amaury Vassili. In early February, as the result of an internal selection, French broadcaster France 3 announced that the 21-year-old tenor would represent the country in Düsseldorf with “Sognu”, a song in Corsican written by Daniel Moyne, Quentin Bachelet with lyrics by Jean-Pierre Marcellesi, Julie Miller. It’s the third time in the history of the contest that France will be represented by a song in a regional language.

Amaury will perform “Sognu” in the final on 14^th May, at starting position #11.
