In this year’s Polish national final, 10 acts competed for the honour to represent Poland at the 2011 Contest in Düsseldorf. Magdalena Tul and her catchy up-beat song “Jestem” came out the clear winner with an overwhelming 44,47% of all incoming sms votes.
“Jestem” is Poland’s 16th entry to the Eurovision Song Contest and it will open the contest of the 1st semi-final on 10th May, starting from #1!

BIOGRAPHY
Born on April 29, 1980 in a Polish city of Gdańsk.
She discovered her love for music when she was 12. This is when she started developing her singing interests in a children’s vocal band.
As a teenager she cooperated with many bands, gaining experience on stage and in the studio. This is when she started her first band. They gave a few concerts supporting well-known artists of the Polish musical scene.
Magda had also opportunity to gain some acting experience when she was still very young. At high school she attended a class with a liberal arts and theater-oriented profile. During her training at the City Theatre in Gdynia, she was able to learn the secrets of this challenging profession.
In 1999 when she was 19, she enrolled in a school of music of secondary level in Gdańsk, in a classical singing class. She studied there for one year, working on her skills and expanding her knowledge.
Also in 1999 she enrolled in a graduate school, Bydgoszcz Academy, at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, where she specialized in artistic education in the realm of music.
She was awarded MA in Arts in 2004.
In 2000 she moved to Warsaw where she started working as a singer and an actress for Studio Buffo, a musical theater created by Janusz Józefowicz and Janusz Stokłosa. She performed there among others as a lead singer in a musical “Metro” and also, in musical shows: „Beloved Country” („Ukochany Kraj”), “Sunday at the Central Train Station” („Niedziela na Głównym”) and “A Gypsy Evening” („Wieczór Cygański”).
Three years later she moved on to a new challenge and started her cooperation with another musical theater, Roma. She performed there in musicals: „Miss Saigon”, „Grease”, „Cats” and “Academy Of Mister Kleks” (main part – Queen Aba) www.teatrroma.pl
In 2002 Magda was invited to work as a singer in a popular TV show “Guess That Tune”.
At the same time she cooperated with such bands as: Miennta, Janowski Project, and with Zygmunt Kukla’s orchestra, Kukla Band.
Her voice can also be heard on a cartoon movie soundtrack. In August 2005 she recorded a song for the Polish version of Walt Disney’s movie: „The Emperor’s New Groove”.
In 2001 an original project was born, created by Magda (nickname: Lady Tullo), Peter Martin and Peter Podgoorsky. In order to record the first, Loud Tally Records was created in 2004.
In November 2004 Magda was chosen to the final group of ten bands at the Polish prescreening for the Eurovision Song Contest.
One year later, on June 10, 2005 she performed another song, „Idź Swoją Drogą” (“Follow Your Own Way”) during the concert “Premiery 2005” in Opole.
Magda also performed at the festival Top Trendy 2005, at the concert Eska Hit Squad, together with a hip-hop artist, Sycha.
In November 2005, with song “Full of Life”, composed by Peter Martin, Magda won two main awards at the International Music Festival Universetalent in Prague for The Best Singer and The Best Song. http://www.universetalent.com/cs-historie2005.html
