Lithuania picked their entry for the 58th Eurovision Song Contest rather early: After two semi-finals in the first half of December, on 20 December the national final was held, where the winner was chosen by a combined system of televoting and “expert” jury. 29-year old Andrius Pojavis and his self-penned song Something got the maximum votes and won the honour to represent the Baltic state in Malmö in May. It’s the 14th Lithuanian contribution to the ESC. Lithuania’s best result was a sixth place at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with the song We Are The Winners, performed by LT United.
Something will be performed in the first semi-final on 14 May at starting position #10.
