While working on a Norwegian musical, due to be premiered next year, Norway’s 2009 Eurovision Song Contest winner Alexander Rybak (Fairytale) released a music video as “a gift for the best fans in the world”, as he puts it on his youtube channel. The song is called 5 To 7 Years and it’s one of the latest additions to the ESC Radio playlist. Other tracks recently added include releases by Cascada with Robin Stjernberg (Germany/Sweden 2013), Witloof Bay (Belgium 2011), Sinplus (Switzerland 2012) and Magdalena Tul (Poland 2011). This month, Germany’s 2013 representative Cascada came out with a new album, entitled Acoustic Sessions. As the name suggests it contains acoustic versions of her best know songs, including her 2013 entry Glorious and a fabulous duet version of Sweden’s entry at Malmö, You. This is the music video featuring Robin Stjernberg:
At the 2011 contest, the Belgium entry With Love Baby, performed by the six-piece vocal band Witloof Bay, narrowly missed to qualify for the grand final. The Swiss duo Sinplus, brothers Ivan and Gabriel Broggini, represented their native Switzerland at the 2012 contest in Baku, Azerbaijan, with the song Unbreakable. While preparing the release of their second studio album, they have a first new single out, Phoenix From The Ashes. The song is also available on iTunes and amazon , and this is the lyrics video:
Magdalena Tul, who flew Poland’s flag at the 2011 contest (Jestem) is back with a new single and video, I Am Who I Am. Check out the music video here:
In 2006, Claudia D’Addio was the Swiss part of the group six4one that represented the Alpine country at the contest in Athens, Greece, with the song If We All Give A Little. As we already reported in summer, Claudia renamed herself as Diamá, and La Mossa (The Brush-Off) is the title of her debut single. The Storm is the title of Compact Disco’s latest single. The band represented Hungary at the 2012 contest with the song Sound Of Our Hearts. Watch here the video clip for The Storm
